But then, like Frankenstein, someone could not let this concept stay dead. They had to revive it. Watching Keanu go back to the goofy moronic character which had jump started his career after having seen him evolve as an actor was nothing short of painful. The plot of "Bill and Ted Face the Music" felt strained and silly. Perhaps because it doesn't fit as well into the era of the 2020's as it did in 1989; the cuteness and fuzziness that it had in -89 is gone. Now it's just goofy. Sure there were some funny moments but it just can't make up for the fact that this franchise should have stayed locked away in a filing cabinet.

Loved the first one (so long ago) second one had its moments. This one was just a rehash of the same stuff from the first two, but is painful to watch. Seeing Bill and Keanu act like they're perpetually 18 was just offsetting. It doesn't really add anything to the overall story, it's just a very long end-credit scene to Bogus Journey.
